Why is my Bricksaw having motor problems?

Have you seen the 30-metre extension lead, with the remaining length coiled up beside the work area or plugged into a multi-box, and another extension....... even when the power source is only 8 or 9 metres away?

This results in a long and often undersized electrical pathway between the power source and the bricksaw, creating a voltage drop in an undersized cable.

The idea is simple: use only as much lead as you actually need.

• Arrive on site and your power source is close to the cutting area - Use the 5-metre section.

• Need a little more reach - Use the 15-metre section.

• Need maximum reach - Connect the two together and you have 20 metres.

• This gives you three practical options from one setup: 5 metres → 15 metres → 20 metres

REMEMBER - Don't let your extension lead become the weak link between your power supply and your bricksaw.

• Shorter Is Better - one of the most important things to remember when powering a high-load tool is: The shorter the lead you can use, the less voltage drop you are likely to experience. Keep the cable run as short as practical.

• Every extra metre of cable adds resistance to the electrical circuit. Combine excessive length with an undersized cable and you can create unnecessary voltage drop and additional stress on the motor. Avoid unnecessary joins and multiboxes.

• Using a correctly sized lead, give your bricksaw the best opportunity to receive the power it needs. Use the correct cable size.
